Cembrit a.s. is a Czech company with more than 100 years of experience in the field of fibre-cement building materials, a member of the international Cembrit Holding A/S, the largest dedicated distributor and Europe’s second largest producer of fibre-cement products, which is a member of the worldwide industrial FLSmidth group.
The Czech company Cembrit a.s. operates in two factories, in the cities Beroun and Šumperk. Cembrit Holding A/S is a European company headquartered in Denmark with production and sales operations in the Czech Republic, Finland, Poland, Hungary and Italy, in addition to sales offices and own representatives in Denmark, the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Slovakia, Romania, the Baltic countries, Ukraine and Russia.
Cembrit’s domains are fibre-cement roofing, cladding and interior solutions. Our main product lines are flat sheets for interior and exterior cladding facades, walls and ceilings, and corrugated sheets and slates used primarily as roofing materials. Our products can be used for a wide scale of purposes and for all kinds of buildings: they are perfectly suitable for private houses, public buildings, industrial and agricultural objects, for both new projects and reconstructions. All Cembrit products meet not only the strictest technical requirements and standards, but also add to your building a high esthetic value.
Cembrit’s products have been popular for generations, and the name of the predecessor of our current fibre-cement products, “eternit”, has become a phenomenon not only in the Czech Republic. We are proud of this long tradition of success, and we do our effort to keep the good things from the past living. At the same time, we keep up with the needs and standards of the modern building industry, concerning the production technology, technical requirements, design, environmental and health parameters of our products.
Our products meet the strictest health and environmental criteria, and they are certified according to European standards for quality and environmental management (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001). Furthermore, many European certification institutes have recognized the quality of our products. Namely, we have the following certificates: BBA, CSTB, BCCA, MPA Bau, DLG, INTRON, TZUS.
