Cembrit LW functional boards are the ideal solution in cases where lightweight walls and ceilings have to be able to withstand exceptionally hard use. Cembrit LW functional boards are made of cement and limestone filler, reinforcedwith a specially selected fibre material. They have a special surface that is particularly resistant to moisture, impact and other kinds of heavy-duty use. This surface is easy to paint, or to treat with other kinds of finish. It also makes these boards easy to clean. In addition, Cembrit LW functional boards are – unlike plaster board – sound-absorbent and fire-retardant, and also resistant to both rot and mould. Their exceptional durability results in an extremely long service life.

In some building environments, walls and ceilings are particularly exposed to intensive use and rough treatment. This is where Cembrit LW functional boards are the ideal material.
They are exceptionallydurable and impact-resistant, which means they can be used in areas subject to intensive use, and where surfaces are exposed to considerable wear from both people and objects. In addition to being non-combustible and providing good sound insulation, MineritLW boards can also withstand limited amounts of water. This means they are easy to clean usinga soap solution or a light washing down, for example.

Cembrit LW fibre-cement panels do not contain any dangerous or harmful substances, nor do they give off any fumes that could be a health hazard. They do not rot, and are not susceptible to mould. Together, these properties make them ideal for use in rooms where people live and work.
Easy to set up
Minerit LW functional boards are easy to mount on either wooden or metal supports and stud wall framing. They are also easy to trim and cut to fit. Boards with two different edge profiles are availableso that surfaces can be provided with the joints between boards either visible or not, as preferred.
